Jennifer and Dustin’s O’Donnell House Wedding in Sumter, by SC Wedding Photographer

You may have seen these two faces previously on my blog… Jennifer and Dustin. I’ve photographed them a few times over the past couple years, but this was the big one… their wedding day! Jennifer is the sister of a former bride of mine, Vanessa, and Jenn picked an amazing venue for her wedding. The big day took place at the beautiful, historic O’Donnell House in Sumter, SC. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect backdrop or a more perfect afternoon and evening. Storm clouds cleared in time for the wedding and then a huge full moon capped off the night sky. Maybe a sign from above that this couple has help from above?! I like to think so!

Well, now that Staci is on her honeymoon it’s safe to post some of her bridal session images. We headed down to Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant a few weeks ago to photograph Staci’s bridals. It was a beautiful sunny day, but the wind was blowing like crazy! There are so many great spots around Boone Hall that we didn’t have time to photograph Staci everywhere before closing time. Which do you think Staci picked for her bridal portrait?

It was the last image on the tree-lined driveway that ended up as her pick for a 16×20 canvas bridal portrait, but Staci had lots of favorites. Oh, by the way, Staci also did a bridal boudoir session a few days before her wedding. Stay tuned for a peek at those soon!

Wintergreen Woods, Lexington, SC Wedding Venue

I’ve decided to feature a few of my favorites venues for weddings, so am starting with the beautiful Wintergreen Woods Wedding Pavilion and Reception Hall in Lexington, SC. You can’t go wrong with having your wedding and reception at Wintergreen Woods. The owners, Casey and Dixie, always do a fabulous job, as does all of their staff. The terraced garden is just perfect for outdoor ceremonies and the interior feels warm and cozy with the big stone fireplace. I always enjoy photographing at Wintergreen Woods, so if you’re planning a wedding there, I’d love to hear from you!

Suzie and Michael’s Wedding- Animated Slideshow, by Columbia, SC Wedding Photographer

I had some time recently to do an animated slideshow of Suzie and Michael’s wedding photos from this past summer. This couple and this wedding were one of my favorites for 2010, so I chose it to showcase. The venue for the wedding was The Millstone at Adam’s Pond near Columbia, SC. It’s run by Southern Way Catering and is always a spectacular location with exceptionally good food and service by the Southern Way folks. Hope you enjoy the slideshow!

Sunshine was out in full force for Ernessa and Travis’ October 16th wedding at the Fort Jackson Officers’ Club. Couldn’t have asked for a prettier October afternoon for their outdoor ceremony. LaKisha and Teddy’s Wedding at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center

Congratulations to LaKisha and Teddy following their wedding on October 9th at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. LaKisha’s talents as a wedding planner definitely showed with all the unique details of her wedding. I especially liked the lighting effects done by Ambient Media, with colorful uplights and leafy patterned gobos on the walls. It was a beautiful night and ended perfectly with the Gamecocks beating Alabama sparking celebrations all around us in the Vista area. Here are some previews from Kisha and Teddy’s proofs…

Laura and Russ’ Wedding at 403 North Lake, by Lexington, SC Wedding Photographer

It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding this past Saturday, so I was happy to be at 403 North Lake in Lexington to photograph the wedding of Laura and Russ. They had a small wedding party that included Russ’ daughter and son, so that was very sweet to see. Lots of Laura’s family came down from Ohio, and they all seemed to be having a wonderful time. Congrats to Laura and Russ, and hope you all enjoy seeing a glimpse of their wedding proofs!
