Also, I wanted to share the “love story” that Misty wrote when she entered our contest, so here that is: “How we met:  A crazy story that only shows that fate exists. In 2008, I was a hairstylist at a salon, while trying to complete my bachelors in Elementary Education, when a sweet woman came in for a hair cut. She showed me a picture of a hair style that she absolutely loved. I had no idea how to do it!  So I politely asked the lady to wait for my manager to finish a client and she would be glad to help her. While she was waiting, I was talking to her about school and life when she randomly tells me, “You have to meet my son!”. He is 22 and you are perfect for him. Hesitant at first, I agreed. We went on a date to O’Charley’s that weekend and we have been inseparable ever since.  To this day, I thank God for his sweet mother seeing something different in me and speaking up. We were engaged 6 months later and have been planning the wedding ever since! Our life will finally begin as one on May 12, 2012.”

Misty and Kevin are getting married on May 12, 2012 in Augusta, Georgia at Julian Smith Casino and Gazebo.  When I first read the location, I thought “wow, a wedding at a casino… interesting!” Then, Misty explained that it’s not a gambling casino at all, but a beautiful park with a nice reception building. Apparently the word “casino” has origins other than gambling halls. You learn something new everyday!

I’m looking forward to their big day in May, and wish them and all of the couples that entered our contest the very best for 2012! And I wish all of my blog readers the very best for 2012 too!!

It was a very cold February afternoon, and Shericka braved it in a very cute, short dress.  Way to go, girl!
