Well, it’s safe now to share a few of Karen’s bridal portraits since she’s married as of September 3rd. I had the pleasure of photographing Karen and creating a beautiful 3D bridal portrait for her. Unfortunately, I couldn’t photograph her wedding since I was previously booked for her wedding date. Karen, I hope your wedding and reception were fabulous and that you’re having a wonderful honeymoon right now! Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

Beach Portrait Week! July 24-31 at Edisto Beach, by SC Beach Photographer

We’re booking now for beach portraits at Edisto Beach (between Charleston and Beaufort) for the week of July 24-31, 2011. No session fee if booked by July 17th and print packages start at $95.

This is a perfect opportunity to have beautiful portraits done of families, brides, couples, children, pets, etc. If you’ve ever been to Edisto Beach, you know how awesome the island is. We can even do portrait sessions along the marsh and moss-covered tree lined roads. I’m envisioning some great print competition images to come from the week there with my cameras!

My work goes international! — PPA Print Competition results are in!

The PPA (Professional Photographers of America) International Print Competition results for 2011 are in! I’m thrilled to announce that two of my print entries were accepted into the Loan Collection and the General Collection. They’ll be on display at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 15-17, 2012 during Imaging USA, PPA’s annual convention. Only the best of the best are selected for the esteemed Loan Collection, so I’m extra happy about that honor. “En Pointe” is the title of my image selected for the Loan Collection and it will be published in the 2011 Loan Collection book later this year.

“Bonded” is the title of the other image that made it into the General Collection, and I’m happy about that too!

Kayla and Chad’s Huntington Beach Portrait Session, by SC wedding photographer

Kayla and Chad wanted to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary with a beach portrait session, so we headed down to Huntington Beach State Park near Murrell’s Inlet, SC a couple weeks ago. These two are so photogenic and so in love, that’s it’s always fun photographing them! Chad looked so handsome in his dress blues, and Kayla was gorgeous in her wedding dress. We started off photographing around Atalaya Castle, then headed out onto the beach. Got some great shots on the dunes with the intense sun shining behind, and then headed toward the tide!

I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Miss Lauren Rountree yesterday at the old Sheldon Church ruins in Yemassee, near Beaufort, SC. We drove through some rain showers, but got lucky when the rain held off while we were there. A friend of mine and of Lauren’s, Jennifer, and her daughter Gracie, tagged along. I forgot to bring flowers, so Jennifer picked some vines turned them into a bouquet wrapped with moss. Such a talented lady!

Staci’s Boone Hall Plantation Bridal Portraits, by SC Wedding Photographer

Well, now that Staci is on her honeymoon it’s safe to post some of her bridal session images. We headed down to Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant a few weeks ago to photograph Staci’s bridals. It was a beautiful sunny day, but the wind was blowing like crazy! There are so many great spots around Boone Hall that we didn’t have time to photograph Staci everywhere before closing time. Which do you think Staci picked for her bridal portrait?

It was the last image on the tree-lined driveway that ended up as her pick for a 16×20 canvas bridal portrait, but Staci had lots of favorites. Oh, by the way, Staci also did a bridal boudoir session a few days before her wedding. Stay tuned for a peek at those soon!
