Getting ready for the second annual Palmetto Health “Oh Baby” event this Sunday, May 16th, so thought I’d post a few recent baby images.

I’m looking forward to meeting new parents and parents-to-be and hope to see lots of them in my studio over the coming months and years.

Maternity Portraits

Here are a couple images from Lisa and Sean’s recent maternity session.

Their baby is due very soon, so I’m looking forward to photographing the little one while he’s a tiny weeny newborn. Hint, hint, Lisa!!

HP baby portraits in NICU!

Some of you may know that Hallman Photography not only does weddings and portraits, but we have a contract with Baptist Hospital in Columbia and offer newborn portraits to parents there. We do in-room portrait sessions, usually the day after babies are born at Baptist. We were asked to do some inspirational portraits for the brand new NICU at Baptist Hosptal and some of those are now hanging in the NICU hallways. Originally, the portraits were to be hung one in each of the 17 private NICU rooms, but they decided the hallways would be a better area to display them, and I completely agree.

All of the babies featured belong to nurses or staff at Baptist Hospital, or were born at Baptist.

Here’s a little glimpse of the portraits I created for this project…

We hope to have more portraits going up in the NICU and Birthplace hallways at Baptist Hospital soon.

Baby Hannah

We first met baby Hannah when we photographed her at Baptist Hospital the day after she was born.

Then she and her mom and dad came to the “Oh, Baby!” fair last weekend and booked a studio portrait session with me.

Yesterday was the big day for the “Oh Baby” baby fair at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Palmetto Health organized the event and did a fabulous job with everything. I was very impressed, especially since this is the first time they’ve done a baby fair. I look forward to participating for many years to come.

And thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth. Wow, and there were lots of baby bumps there. I hope to see many of you in my studio over the coming weeks and months with your bellies and your babies!

Miranda Cler’s 2 month portraits

I had the pleasure of photographing little 2 month old Miranda Cler recently. Miranda’s mom, Lara, has worked with me at weddings in the past and I couldn’t wait to meet her little one. She’s a beautiful baby who looks like her mom for sure!

Joseph’s Early One Year Session

Joseph is absolutely my favorite baby to photograph, so when I needed some new images to put together a baby sample book, I gave his mom a call. Even though he doesn’t officially turn one until May, we did an early one year birthday session recently. In true form, Joseph was a champ. Oh, those big baby blues of his and that adorable smile. I’m already looking forward to my next session with this little guy!

Mr. Cutie Pants

I finally got to photograph Ethan– I’ll just call him “Mr. Cutie Pants” from now on. Ethan is the 7 month old son of Kayla, one of my 2007 brides. Isn’t he cute, that Mr. Cutie Pants?!

Jamie’s Maternity Session

I got a phone call from Jamie, who was referred to me by a friend.

Jamie wanted maternity images… but there was one thing— she was scheduled for inducement about 16 hours after her call. So, I said “come on to the studio” and she headed my way with her two boys for a last minute maternity session.

As I type this, Jamie is being induced and wanting to see some sneak previews of her session.
